Cape Peninsula Tours
The Cape Peninsula is based in the south western region of Africa and stretches out into the Atlantic Ocean. At its tip lies Cape Point, the southernmost point in Africa. It is here that the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. To its north, lies Table Mountain, the famed flat top mountain that is one of the new wonders of the world. Guests will be picked up from their hotel by our driver/tour guide at around 8:30 in the morning. First stop is the Atlantic Seaboard beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. These are blue flag beaches which receive this internationally recognized status only after meeting the strict criteria of being safe, clean and providing ample amenities. The tour then heads to Hout Bay. The town is a charming little fishing village which is overlooked by the 12 Apostles Mountain. Little craft stores and markets are a famed part of this town and an excellent opportunity for gifts. If time permits a 45 minute Cape Fur Seal tour is available to Seal Island. Chapmans Peak is a wonderful vantage point to see just how marvellously, the city transforms from day to night. The road has 114 curves and is known to be one of best drives in the world.
The Cape Point Funicular is a high point of the day. It has the word fun in it, so how can it not be. Cape Peninsula tour guests take this funicular at the bottom station of Cape Point to get to a higher position.
